This vibrant theme has a classic, slightly grunge-y approach that evokes the feeling of nostalgia… even though this theme likely improves on the original!
If you’ve recently upgraded your WordPress installation to version 3.0, you’ll be glad to know that VintMint uses some of the best new features—most notably, the convenient menu system that debuted as a core feature in 3.0.
There are also some very nice features that set this theme apart from other modern themes—things like the very nice ph0to-based content slider on the homepage, and a number of extra templates, including a “no-sidebars” template (so you can have some pages with sidebars and some without) and templates that are perfect for links/bookmarks and your sitemap.
If you’re looking to make a little money from your blog, you’ll also appreciate that this theme supports a variety of ads (and ad sizes) right out of the box. As you can see from the demo, there are four 125×125 ads (very popular among bloggers right now) in a great location on the front page (obvious enough that your advertisers will be well-treated, but not so intrusive that they’ll annoy your readers). There are also spots for 250×250, 336×280, and 468×60 ads.
Thanks to its comfortable, well-worn feel, this theme would be ideal for a travel journal or summer vacation retrospective. Now all you have to do is get out there and do something worthy of it!
