Hi, I’m Sarah Lewis. I’m an entrepreneur, and I’ve been a web developer since 1997 and a blogger since 2001, and this site is a place for me to share some of what I’ve learned along the way.

I used to hand-code every theme. When I started blogging, there weren’t very many themes to choose from. Many of them weren’t very good (and the good ones were used everywhere), so that used to be the best option. Boy, have things changed in the last decade!

Now, even though I’m perfectly capable of creating my own themes, I hardly ever do. For most blogs, there’s just no reason to put the time into a custom theme when there are so many beautiful and functional themes available, most of them for well under $100. There are still occasions when it makes sense to do a custom theme, but generally, even for myself, it’s a much better use of time/money to buy a theme.

The trouble is finding the perfect theme. Especially when you’re starting out, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of themes available. So this site exists to help highlight the very best of the best, and organize them in a way that’s useful and easy to browse.
